Beauty

What is Beauty? Is it a sunrise, a sunset? A newborn baby, a bride on her wedding day? A rose in full bloom, a double rainbow, the sun shining on a green meadow?
Or is it a woman in pain worshiping her Savior, a man who's unemployed praising his Provider? Is it a girl taking the good news to the same kids who make fun of her? Is it a boy helping his brother with school instead of playing? Is it man doing his job with joy when no one notices? Is it a woman caring for her home even when her work may remain unseen?

Is it the God of the universe sending His only Son to shed his blood on a cross for the sons of men, many of whom will reject Him? This is beauty, not a face that's been plastered with make-up or a football play that was completed flawlessly. We don't even know the beginning of the beauty there is to be seen for those who believe and confess Jesus as Lord.

Captivate us and show us what beauty is. Make something beautiful out of us, as only you can Jesus.
